Every man's life has its beginnings. From the moment you are born in the world, you take the first starting point and create your own standards to create countless starting points.

The dictionary meaning of the starting point is "the place where something first happens or begins."

My second hometown, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do, is surrounded by mountains and is the first place I experienced unfamiliarity when I was seven years old outside of my first hometown, Gimpo.

The snow piled up and the clear night sky seen in Gangwon-do turned unfamiliar into excitement, which was the starting point.

Gangneung, where Gangwon Arts High School is located, which embraces the imposing waves of the sea, is a decisive place to walk the path of art. My growing pains as a child were washed away by the sound of rough waves in the sea and became another starting point.
The beginnings of the past lead to a new beginning.

My current starting point, where mountains and seas are gathered, is that no one knows if there will be a landslide or a tsunami in the future, but what is clear is that the two become one and create a new starting point.
