"Things that existed in the past but are gradually disappearing"

Since 2021,

I’ve been drawing old-fashioned stores under the theme of things

that still exist in a rapidly modernizing society

but are becoming increasingly difficult to find and are neglected.

The multiple signs of storefronts suddenly transformed into a neat and organized appearance,

but sometimes I missed the individuality of the old signs.

I came across shops which still had unique old signs, and was inspired to draw them.

Rather than simply reproducing images of old stores, my greater desire is to remind people of unique, diverse, and aesthetic stores and signs.

I focus on drawing everyday scenes that are notprovocative

as well as things that existed in the past but are graduallydisappearing.

I mainly paint the spaces that are disappearing from our lives as they are.

Rather than strongly conveying messages through my artwork, I pursue focusing on the subject I draw.

In a society that pursues new and sophisticated things,

I want to show that old(and perhaps considered outdated)

things also have their own atmosphere and beauty.
